    What's new in Tagify 2.3.0...

    Major performance upgrade

Tagify is now much faster across the board.

We migrated Tagify's tag data storage to a much better system behind the scenes, which means:

    • Tagify is now easily 5x faster than 2.2.0
    • Tagging, filtering, and loading large libraries feels much snappier
    • You can now tag a virtually unlimited number of tracks

    Smart Playlists improvements 🧠

    What's new:

    • Added an indicator inside Smart Playlists so it's clearer what's going on
    • Improved the Smart Playlist menu to make it easier and smoother to use

    Camelot Keys 🎛️

    Tagify now supports Camelot keys.

    You can now:

    • See Camelot keys for songs
    • Filter your tagged tracks by Camelot key

This is especially useful for DJs and anyone who wants to find songs that mix well together harmonically.

    Reset Tag Data option 🔄

You can now reset your tag data directly from the main Settings menu.

    Much requested feature.

    Installer 🚀

    Possibly the biggest addition...
Created a fully automated Tagify/Spicetify Installer.
Install Spicetify/Tagify, keep them up-to-date, repair broken Spicetify state... all without any copy-pasting in your command line.
Whenever Tagify stops working, open up this installer, and run it.
Whenever Tagify needs an update, instead of running the install script below, open up the installer and press "Update Tagify".
    Same for Spicetify updates :)

    What's new in Tagify 2.1.2...

Bug Fix: Tagify Column Now Works Everywhere 🎉

Fixed a critical issue where the Tagify column was broken in most playlists (except Liked Songs).
    What happened?
-> Spotify recently updated their playlist UI with the new "Mix" feature which changed how playlist rows are structured internally.
This broke stuff. Now it's fixed.

    What's new in Tagify 2.1.1...

    Performance Improvements 🏎️

Significantly reduced battery drain and CPU usage

The Tagify extension (for processing 'Tagify' column in playlists) was unnecessarily performing calculations when idle (when not scrolling through your playlists).
Scroll activity detection is much smarter now.
Spotify won't drain your battery as much and should feel noticeably smoother when scrolling through large playlists.

    Minor improvements

    Some very minor style changes.
    Added coffee link :)

If Tagify has changed how you organize and manage your music, please consider giving it a star.
The incredible feedback from the community is why I keep developing this everyday.
More stars = more users = more late nights making Tagify better for you.
    Thank you!

    What's new in Tagify 2.1.0...

Bulk star rating & energy rating

When selecting multiple tracks to tag (selecting several tracks + right-clicking "Bulk Tag") - you may now apply star ratings and energy ratings to multiple tracks simultaneously.

    A Quick Favor? 🙏

These features exist because users like you shared feedback! If you have 2-3 minutes, I'd love to know how you found Tagify and what you're hoping to accomplish. Your insights help me understand who Tagify serves best and what to focus on next.

    Minor improvements

    • Improved smart playlist sync logic - handles syncing more reliably when dealing with a large amount of rapid tag operations (ie syncing 100+ tracks to a smart playlist at once).
      • Fixed critical bug where smart playlists were being completed deleted from local storage.
    • UI/UX enhancements - modern iconograph (better icons), and miscellaneous style stuff.

    What's new in Tagify 2.0...

This major release introduces intelligent playlist automation, as well as significant stability improvements.

    🧠 Smart (automatic) playlists

Was a highly requested one - Happy to be rolling this out.

Create playlists that automatically stay up-to-date based on the tags you apply.
Set your filter criteria once, and every track you tag that matches will be instantly added - no manual playlist management needed.

    How it works:

    1. Set automatic playlist criteria: Choose any combination of star ratings, energy levels, bpm ranges, and custom tags
    2. Create playlist: Tagify generates a Spotify playlist with your current matching tracks...
    3. Tag & forget: Every new track you tag that meets the smart playlist criteria automatically appears in the playlist 🙂
Eliminates the need to manually manage playlists, dragging tracks around, etc.
Build enough smart playlists, and as you tag your tracks, your playlists populate themselves.

Recommended: Backup your smart playlist data periodically, or before making any major changes (like deleting several smart playlists, etc).

NOTE: performance will be impacted the more smart playlists you have. I am currently working on optimizing this, so that this can easily support hundreds of smart playlists.

    Bug fixes & improvements

    Lock state persistence

    • Track lock state now properly persists when exiting and re-entering the app.

    Instant tag application

    • Tags are now applied immediately to tracks
    • Before: Tags took several seconds to save, causing data loss if you quickly left the app
    • Now: Changes persist instantly, making rapid tagging sessions reliable

    💅💄 Styles

    • Refreshed UI throughout the app

    Real-time extension updates

    • Tracklist column: No more stale orange bullets - shows accurate, up-to-date tag data, always
    • Playbar enhancer: Updates instantly when you change tags, ratings, or energy levels
    • No more refreshing necessary: All extensions now reflect changes immediately
