There are still times when this would be useful:

You don't own the Nextcloud instance or your want to run Nextcloud on a different server than Koel.
You have server-side encryption enabled for Nextcloud.

It would be helpful if Koel had a WebDAV client for these cases, but it might also be possible to use an external WebDAV client like davfs2 as a shim.
