Running Koel v3.6.2 on CentOS7, Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS), PHP 5.6.30, and Maria DB 10, and latest verison of chrome on Android 6.0.1 on Verizon Note4.

When I enter my username and pw, and signin, takes 45-60 seconds to get to the UI, during playback of any song Koel UI is slow, and phone is warm to the touch and depletes my 3200mah battery within 2 hours of playback while Koel is running, if I place the chrome app in the background, the playback stutters, at times chrome doesn't even play, no other apps are running in the background.

I have better results with playback in Firefox and Opera for android, I can at least listen but the app needs to be in the foreground and screen active or app goes to sleep and media controls can't be invoked, still a battery drain and phone is warm to the touch.

Perfectly fine on the desktop chrome, no issues there, still takes 30 seconds to login to the UI, nothing in the webconsole. ,

I have over 14k songs in the library.

I have streaming in .env set to default php.

Since I do have php5.6 would upgrading to php7 be an advantage to the slow ui response? I know php7 is twice as fast as php5 but would this aid in the responsiveness of Koel?

I was also looking to x-sendfile module for apache to offload the php work, but the last module that was released was in 2012, and concerned its not upto date with todays security standards.

PHP version and x-sendfile won't help. This looks like a limitation of your phone/Android/browser. Don't think I can help, sorry.
