When pressing the play button in Safari 9 the progress bar just starts its animation but nothing else happens.

I am pretty sure you tested it but just in case, have you tried different issues to make it is Safari related?

@wzzle Please, do a git pull to pull the latest changes.
This is already fixed, for both Safari on OSX and iOS.
