Describe the feature you'd like

This request is for Hoarder to support generating RSS feeds for specific tags or lists. This would allow users to access their archived content outside of Hoarder by subscribing to a feed that dynamically updates as new content is added to the selected tag or list. The RSS feed should include key metadata such as the original article title, archive date, and a link to the archived version stored in Hoarder.

This feature would enable users to integrate their saved content with external RSS readers, dashboards, automation tools, or other applications that handle content display and organization. Ideally, users would be able to toggle RSS feed generation on or off for individual tags or folders, with a unique, private URL for each feed to maintain control over their shared content.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Hoarder users

Adding RSS feeds for specific tags or lists in Hoarder would improve accessibility, automation, and overall usability for existing users. Currently, archived content is locked within Hoarder’s interface, making it difficult to integrate with other applications or access dynamically. By allowing users to generate RSS feeds based on specific tags or lists, saved content could be easily consumed through external RSS readers, dashboards, or other tools, making Hoarder more flexible as a backend for personal content management.

This feature would also enhance organization and sharing by eliminating the need for manual exports or reposting. Users who curate content for newsletters, personal aggregators, or team collaboration could automatically distribute their archived content without extra steps, making Hoarder a more seamless part of their workflow. Additionally, the ability to generate RSS feeds would enable better automation by allowing users to connect Hoarder with tools like IFTTT, Zapier, or custom scripts, significantly reducing the manual effort required to integrate saved content into their existing productivity systems.

Beyond convenience, this feature could drive higher adoption and retention by making Hoarder a more dynamic tool. While it excels at archiving, its current limitations make it less useful for users who prefer a more fluid and automated reading experience. With RSS feed support, Hoarder would fit more naturally into existing content consumption habits, keeping users engaged and making it a more valuable long-term solution.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

This feature makes a lot of sense, and we're tracking it in #333.
