Hi,
first of all, thanks for making the Android APK available via GitHub releases — that’s very much appreciated!

However, I noticed that the app does not show up in Obtainium when searching for "karakeep", which makes it harder for users to find and install updates easily.

Likely cause:

Obtainium relies on repository names, descriptions, or release metadata for search indexing. If the term "karakeep" isn't present in one of these, the app won't be discoverable via a simple search.

Suggested fix:

Consider renaming the repository to include "karakeep", or

Add the word "karakeep" to the repository description or README, or

Add a dedicated metadata.yaml file compatible with Obtainium’s custom sources

Making this small change will make it much easier for users to find the app in Obtainium using intuitive keywords.

Thanks again for your great work!

@MohamedBassem commented on GitHub (Sep 7, 2025):

I added a bunch of tags to the mobile releases repo, hopefully that will make it indexable by obtainium. If you're interested in contributing a metadata.yaml, I'd be more than happy to add it there as well.
