Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/misiektoja/instagram_monitor/issues/12

The program worked correctly for the first instance, wherein I logged into Firefox with my Instagram account and managed to download a couple of (private) user stories. Henceforth, it is failing continuously, stating the following error

* Error: ConnectionException: JSON Query to graphql/query: 401 Unauthorized - "fail" status, message "Please wait a few minutes before you try again."*

Then, for one instance, it was also followed by the dreaded key error: 'data'

Hey,

Have you tried browsing and doing some actions with the Firefox web browser using the same profile as instagram_monitor?

Most likely, Instagram blocked your IP/account temporarily due to too many actions. Typically, it requires waiting a little bit and/or clicking the Dismiss button in the Firefox session or simply re-login with a new session cookie (but remove old cookies first!).

Also, sharing the full anonymized log from the tool would help to better understand the issue (i.e. when it exactly happens as it is not fully clear to me).

Have you tried to follow the tips in How to Prevent Getting Challenged and Account Suspension ?

You might need to run it under a new account and IP if Instagram's anti-bot mechanisms flagged yours as an automated tool abusing their limits. There are usually ways to renew your IP with your ISP.
