Why is there a message that says 'Warning: Softcore Only'?

I have requested hardcore verification from the RetroAchievements team; however, they have not granted it to Gopher64 at this time. If you have questions about hardcore achievements in Gopher64, please contact the RetroAchievements team directly.

Hardcore mode

Unless/until the issue mentioned above is resolved, all achievements earned in hardcore mode will be converted to softcore when processed by the RetroAchievements servers.

Challenge Indicators

When this is enabled, the bottom right of the screen will show a list with achievements that are "primed". These are usually missable achievements, for example, a "finish the level without taking damage" achievement. The achievement would be removed from the list if you took damage.

Pressing F9 while in-game will toggle the display of these indicators.

A maximum of 5 are shown at a time.

Leaderboard Trackers

Selecting this option enables notifications that will show you when a leaderboard attempt has been submitted. It will also show you a counter with your progress (for example, your time in a race).

Leaderboard stats are submitted to RetroAchievements regardless of this setting. This only controls the on-screen notifications.

Leaderboards are hardcore-only and are therefore also affected by the issue mentioned at the top of this page.

Press F8 while in-game to see the status of in-progress achievements.
