Same problem here... As soon as I have the ref I get the "authentication required" error.

Sad thing is if doesn't work in this case either, so I'm stuck:

Looks like there's a test case in pkg/runner/testdata/issue-122/main.yaml with this scenario, and that also fails. Unfortunately it seems this test doesn't get run normally...
