Description
As you can see, the title in the first image is messed up (real title can be seen on the second picture): the title is a mix of two different videos. I have to point out that this is the first time I see a title like this (two titles in one).
Environment
Example Video
Video URLs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THE5TOc3LQk (first title part) & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhFHac518HA&t (second title part)
Screenshots
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 17, 2025):
You're not the first one to complain about this.
Do you remember what you did before that happened (maybe you navigated from a video to homepage or something else, I never succed to reproduce it on my side, so I want to know if there is a specific pattern)?
Does this happens often?
Was the real video (the one which the title comes from) next to it?
Next time you see wrong titles please test this : switch to another tab and switch back on your tab. This trigger a manual titles replacement, it should fix thoses broken titles, if not that may be the cause of the issue. Anyway that will be a good to know.
@tommodev-ctrl commented on GitHub (Jun 17, 2025):
I think I was using YT for quite some time, so I have surely made multiple switches between videos and homepage,
This is the first time I see a messed up title, but it's not the first time I see a title on a wrong video.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 17, 2025):
"Messed up" (concatenated) titles should be fixed :
4091eb6366Will be available in next update.
@YouG-o commented on GitHub (Jun 18, 2025):
v2.4.0 is available and should fix it.
Please reopen an issue if you still see concatenated titles or wrong titles on a video. And if any of those two happens, please switch to another tab and comeback just to see if it fixed the title or not, I need to know.
(I won't be as quick to respond the issue this time, spent two entier days on this extension, I need to change my mind lol)
