This action allows admins to quickly and safely change the admin password on any number of firewalls, with two options. For maximum security, the application can auto-generate a strong and unique password for every firewall, or a user supplied password can be used for all firewalls. If the user is supplying a password, the application will guide admins to avoid using weak passwords.
The results will be logged to an encrypted log file, and shown at the end of the transaction. If something fails unexpectedly, power is lost, or the application is terminated prior to the process completing, the log will be rebuilt and shown the next time the application is run. The password attempted is recorded before any attempt is made, then the results are recorded after the action completes. If a failure prevents the success from being recorded, it may be necessary to test the logged password, and see whether it was set successfully or not.
