Does travis, work, what kind of unit tests should we add to it ?
I am unfamiliar with microcontroller CI.

Any volunteers?

@tzapu commented on GitHub (Oct 31, 2017):

it sure works
https://travis-ci.org/tzapu/WiFiManager

currently it takes all the examples and compiles them.

more than that i think it would need an actual device to compile and upload to... always sounded complicated to me but i think igrrr had s solution to compile on a pi some time ago and upload from it....

as for unit testing, we re so dependant on the esp8266 apis that i never saw the point... (i am probably wrong though :) )
