Describe the bug

I closed the app (Honkai Star rail). When I opened my MacBook the next day, it said I forced closed it when I didn't. When I went to open it again, it popped up with "You forced closed this application. Do you want to reopen it?" Every time I click "reopen," it closes the app. It won't reopen, and I tried redownloading the newer version. It still happens even when turning that off in my MacBook settings.

Steps to reproduce

Closure of the app downloaded through playcover
says i forced closed it when reopening the app
pressed reopen through the pop up message
says app closed due to failure and closes app

Expected behaviour

normally after pressing reopen on any app it normally reopens

Crash log

"The last time you opened honkai: star rail, it was force quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

if you choose not to reopen windows. you may have to open and position the windows yourself."

What version of PlayCover are you using?

3.1.0

What version of macOS are you using?

Monterey (macOS 12)

never happened to me, to fix this:

  • Open Playcover
  • right click on the app -> show in finder
  • open the app with shift+double click
