WMF alone will not make it work
Windows must be updated to support sha2 and Tls 1.2, and WMF needs netfx 4.5+

it's too much info to add to a homepage that needs to be simple enough for noobs to use, and the time it would take to install the required updates is much longer than it would take to use method 2 anyway
