Overview

You can view diffs from multiple areas in GitUp: Quick View, Commit, Stashes... but the basic behavior remains the same.

IMPORTANT: Diff views can be configured in the GitUp app preferences to show diffs for modified files either in "Unified" or "Side-by-side" modes.

Using Diff Views

• Select arbitrary text by clicking and dragging inside the text area
• Select lines by clicking in the line numbers margin area
• You can copy-paste contents from the diff by selecting text with the mouse (or entire lines if clicking in the line numbers margin) followed by Cmd-C
• When selecting lines by clicking in the line numbers margin, use Shift and Cmd keys to extend or edit the selection (same as in standard Mac apps)
• To deselect all selected lines in a file, simply click anywhere in the text area but not in the line numbers margin
