Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote-App/issues/344

Expected behavior

Let the user choose an external editor, which allows us to edit a note while viewing other notes. This could be an alternative to the editor in a floating window: #341. Users could choose between native and custom editor in their settings.

Environment

  • Version : 0.1.4

#765 will cover this issue. For now, you can open documents from browsers if you're using cloud space. For local space, please check https://github.com/BoostIO/BoostNote.next-local/issues/32.
