I'd say that Piosk the name, immediately tells you that it's a lower resource goal of a Kiosk program. Perhaps keeping the name but having the summary tag line saying "now on more devices!" Or something like that would help people know it works for more devices.
Then perhaps squat on the name Xiosk and have it forward over to Piosk? Just my opinion, I quite like the original name.
Also, one improvement for 5.0 (or 5.1) would to silence the boot log, and perhaps a Plymouth theme with a generated QR code for the IP address to the dashboard. Perhaps a 'please wait' or something. Or maybe the default 'not configured' has the QR code on it.
Another cool idea I just had is a 'show boot log' QR code that when visited, just presses Ctrl+~ to show the boot log, that'd be interesting... like a webhook or something.
Something along these lines is what brightsigns do when they boot, they show their hostname, MAC and IP address. They also boot up a quick hotspot to configure things etc if it already hasn't been done. That would be interesting, to fill in wifi and hostname stuff with the dashboard. The dashboard almost needs its own category in feature requests, or maybe I'm just rambling.
Anyways, enough rambling. I really like the feel and goal of Piosk. The idea of "just enough to do this thing" of it all, but yet it is getting really powerful features. I love that the minimum seems to be just Debian and then it works, and that's really cool.

Closing this as v5 is now released.
Most of the features and architectural changes have been implemented.
We will focus on the rest in future versions.
