I noticed that it does not switch between tabs. But when I did open a new chromium window, it does switch between windows.

That's weird... can you please check https://github.com/debloper/piosk/discussions/68 and provide some diagnostic details? I need to be able to replicate the behavior to understand & address what's causing it.
