I'm thinking switch to a gif showing 'loading' or something with a darker background, like the splash screen. Then have that option be configurable for the amount of time it's showing because I know that different people have different loading times.

Ya, during first load. This actually doesn't seem to be such a big deal because it resolves itself after a bit.

If the websites are too heavy, then the first load will take a bit.

Adding bloats to PiOSK to coverup for bloats in those websites seems like a lose-lose game to play. 😂
