I don't know if you can read English, but you have to install the VirtIO drivers from CD before you can use them in windows.

  1. Install Windows on a normal IDE instance
  2. Get this iso from here http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/
  3. Install the drivers on the windows instance
  4. Shut down the instance, and change the XML from IDE to VirtIO
  5. Boot up the instance and hope it works
