Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

in v0.3.14 the api has high memory consumption on an active system. investigating now

looks like when APNS fails the channel for the broadcast listener can end up blocking. the broadcast listener should not hit APNS probably anyway
