Hey, sorry for the rude title.
I was wondering if there were any alternatives to this dead piece of code.
If there are, could someone tell me about some of them?
Thanks.

^ This, it is filled to the brim with goodies and features that make it as great as the propietary client, been reccomending mostly everyone here on it.

@MrMuskMan As a general rule of thumb, if you think it is rude, maybe you should consider NOT writing it.
As @apprehensions have said spotify-player is a good alternative.
Please read this gist and this HackerNews thread, and the linked article on open source maintainer's obligations - there are (almost) none.
If you have specific issues with the code in mind, consider writing it clearly with reproducible steps, also consider forking and fixing it yourself. Otherwise just move to a different software, or accept it as is, as mentioned in every license.
