Just installed the app (with an IMAP server) and all is great so far. I would like to suggest an optional change for what is used in the email subject lines.
Wayyy back in the days when Microsoft Exchange used to be allowed to retrieve SMS I frequently used the backed up SMS messages as a tool when hunting for particular information in regard to a particular client, as I was then not only able to search emails but SMS messages.
I would like to resurrect this functionality using this app since it does bring all of my SMS conversations into my Outlook along with my emails. With that said the way the subject line is currently used within the app seems (at least in my scenario) to be a bit of a waste. We already have the from and to information in the more appropriate from and to fields of the email, and since an SMS message doesn't have a specific subject aside from it's content it seems to me that placing the (first 160 characters of the) SMS message would be more functional, certainly then you can scan down your list of SMS "subjects" in the same way you scan down the subject lines in your email folder when you are looking for something. FWIW, this seems to be the "format" preferred by several VOIP providers when using their SMS to email functionalities.
So I'd like to suggest...
a) that there be an option to place the first 160 characters of the SMS in the subject line instead of the sender/receiver info
b) that in the case of the call logs that there be an option to put the call detail that is now in the body of the message in the subject line as well instead of the sender/receiver name/number as currently
c) that there be an option to store sent SMS/MMS in a separate IMAP folder than received (similar to your email's "sent" folder)
I've suggested these as options as I understand that not everybody may use their SMS "backup" in this manner and as such those changes might not be appropriate for their uses. They would certainly vastly improve the usability of the data as an "archive" for myself.
Cheers!
