Both a backup and restore give this same error:
Error during backup/restore:
Command: SELECT "SMS"; response: #6# [NO, Unknown, Mailbox:, SMS, [Failure]]
@kazuo commented on GitHub (Oct 21, 2010):
What phone, AndroidOS version, and SMS Backup+ version are you running?
@jbetsinger commented on GitHub (Oct 22, 2010):
HTC Incredible, OS 2.2 (Skyraider 3.3.x, Virtuous ALL, all exhibit behavior), I am running SMS Backup+ 1.1.1.
@jberkel commented on GitHub (Oct 23, 2010):
Do you see a label 'SMS' in your gmail account? if not, try creating one manually. http://skitch.com/jberkel/dh5pt/soundcloud.com-mail-settings-jan-soundcloud.com
@mjt071478 commented on GitHub (Oct 27, 2010):
I was receiving the same error... I had an old label in gmail from the original SMS Backup program called "sms" (lowercase)... I changed the label in SMS Backup+ to also be lowercase to make it match what already existed in Gmail and voila - it worked!
@jbetsinger commented on GitHub (Oct 27, 2010):
My solution was similar to mjt071478's
I changed the existing label created from SMSBackup to SMS2, allowed SMSBackup+ to recreate and backup my SMS messages then moved the original backups to the new SMS folder and deleted the SMS2 directory.
Solved and issue closed...
@inaltoasinistra commented on GitHub (Apr 19, 2012):
IMHO it's not closed the issue; the sw could manage the case of an yet existing lowercase sms label in an automatic way without bringing me on this page :D
(Thanks, the sw is great!)
