I am trying to restore my sms' to my HTC One M7, the app shows it is restoring however once the restore is complete I check my SMS app (native app) and none have been restored. I have tired several times and restarted the phone.

I have the exact same problem on a HTC One Mini.
I have looked in the log you can see from the app - no problems are mentioned. Maybe there is another log outside the app, but I haven't been able to get to it. I have well over 11000 sms in the backup.

Same problem here, I'm switching phones so backed up everything from my HTC Sensation then restored 100 to my LG G2. It goes through all 100 as if it's restoring, then says that 1 was restored and 99 were dups (the G2 has no texts on it right now). Same behavior when trying to restore 500.

This problem seems to be caused by a change in the latest Android-version. Something about stopping third party sms apps. Maybe that is the reason for the restore not working. I use the latest Android - 4.4.2.

I am having the same issue on the Moto G (U.S. Cellular). I successfully restored to this same phone about 5 weeks ago, so something has changed since then to create this issue. I have run the restore process twice. Like the others, it appears to run successfully and I receive a confirmation. The phone log restored perfectly, but none of the SMS restore.
I see the post from 11 days ago, but I'm unclear what to make of it. Please clarify. Thanks.

I am also having this problem. I tried to restore 17K + text messages and it tells me its successful, but nothing is there afterwards. Is this something with the settings or will they have to fix the problem. I'm a little confused.

I also have this probblem in a Oneplus One. As far as i know SMS Backup+ can't be set as default SMS app so that can't be the fix.

Thanks a lot for the update. I had this problem on my One Plus One and now it's fixed.
@ricferr1976 SMS Backup + can be set as default SMS app because it worked for me.
It also asked to switch back to its default app as soon as it was finished.

i backed up all my messages it took a few hours now my phone did a master reset and deleted all my messages when i try to get it back it shows its restoring all the messages and when its done i only see the phone numbers that it saved in messages but non of the actual sms messages.
please someone help am i doing something wrong where did it all get saved to . it shows that its restoring
its on the same phone
