Whenever I try to backup my SMS on ICS 4.0.4 (Firmware I9100XWLPM for GT-I9100) the app stops and force closes. It worked perfectly on ICS 4.0.3. I did click on the report button when the force close happened, so Google should have some logs.
@MMCC22 commented on GitHub (Aug 3, 2012):
The app freezes/force closes if you try to backup calls. If calls backup is disabled the app does not freeze. I guess Samsung changed something about their calls log in 4.0.4 (I9100).
@Telefonmannen commented on GitHub (Aug 23, 2012):
HI - Me to - Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 (I9100XXLQ6) App stops running after upgrading to 4.0.4. Reports have been sendt to Google
@jberkel commented on GitHub (Sep 3, 2012):
can you try to post the crash logs here? for some reason i don't see them in my list of crashes.
@Telefonmannen commented on GitHub (Sep 5, 2012):
Would love to help - need you to tell me how to copy the crash log to this site/email. I manage to see the report on my phone, but I can`t find any way to copy it.
@afollestad commented on GitHub (Sep 5, 2012):
Try out my Holo-ified version of SMS Backup+, it's on my GitHub profile. I implemented holo themes and the action bar.

@Telefonmannen @MMCC22 @adol-c can you try installing https://github.com/jberkel/sms-backup-plus/sms-backup-plus-1.4.6.apk/qr_code ? please let me know if this fixes it (you'll need to enable "Unknown Sources" in your android settings - see http://cl.ly/0o380s1V2s0Z3147073y)
@jberkel commented on GitHub (Sep 6, 2012):
@Telefonmannen you can use catlog (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nolanlawson.logcat&hl=en) to send the log data
@Telefonmannen commented on GitHub (Sep 6, 2012):
Hi again - this is the logfile recorded during SMS backup failure. Let me
know if you need more...

This Program crashes too- see recorded log

@jberkel commented on GitHub (Sep 6, 2012):
@Telefonmannen ok, now try this one https://github.com/jberkel/sms-backup-plus/sms-backup-plus-1.4.6.RC2.apk/qr_code
@Telefonmannen commented on GitHub (Sep 6, 2012):
This is ok - checked my gmail account and found all SMS and call logs
there.
One thing though - are call logs and SMS supposed to be mixed in the gmail
account or should they be separated? They are mixed now, hence Call logs
and SMS are showing the same info

they should be under the respective labels "SMS" / "Call log". that part of the code didn't get changed, can you verify your settings? where are they mixed?
@Telefonmannen commented on GitHub (Sep 6, 2012):
When I open my gmail account I see the labels Call logs and SMS. When
opening either one, both show SMS and calls. I need to board a flight now,
I will send you some screen dumps tomorrow
