I cant connect with my gmail account for backup the SMS messages. I get this error message:
Could not obstain request token from Google. Make sure the network connection is active and your time / time zone is configured properly.
IMAP is enabled in gmail. What is wrong?
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2012):
time zone in gmail, phone and google calendar is identical.
doesnt work with wifi or other internet (2g, 3g, hspa etc.)
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Jan 26, 2012):
solved
@veribaka commented on GitHub (Apr 2, 2012):
How did you solve this issue? I'm having it right now :(
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Apr 2, 2012):
not sure anymore. but i think i restart the phone.
@veribaka commented on GitHub (Apr 2, 2012):
Thanks anyway. I sent a message on their website. Fingers crossed :)
@Delethorn commented on GitHub (Apr 15, 2012):
I am also having the same problem. Please can someone tell me how to fix this?
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Apr 16, 2012):
must have correct time zone on phone, gmail and google calendar.
when you have it just restart the phone.
now i see on other forum where i ask for same problem.
@veribaka commented on GitHub (Apr 16, 2012):
That was the first thing I checked. Still not working... :-(
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Apr 25, 2012):
try go to settings > time and date > and check this two:
automaticlly time and time
automaticlly time zone
something like that is in english.
@Delethorn commented on GitHub (Apr 26, 2012):
I tried it but still not working for me...
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Apr 27, 2012):
are you connected with net? connect with wifi ali mobile net and then try to connect.
if this doesnt work then no one app for sms backup cant help you
@Delethorn commented on GitHub (Apr 29, 2012):
I am 100% sure that i am connected via wifi. I can normaly get into the market, fb,etc...
@Darksideno1 commented on GitHub (Apr 29, 2012):
i dont have any ideas what will be wrong.
maybe will developer contacts you and solve the problem
i tell you all issues what i have done:
-im set the same time zone in gmail, calendar
-automaticlly date and time; automaticlly time zone on settings on phone
this is all what i tried but it works for me. why doesnt work for you i dont have any ideas. sorry :(
@veribaka commented on GitHub (Apr 30, 2012):
I solved it when I flashed my phone... You can always try to clear the
data of Sms backup+. I'm pretty sure you'll have to backup all your text
messages again, but I'm also pretty sure it'll work. Let us know how it
went please.
@meganomine commented on GitHub (Aug 6, 2012):
I had the same issue as you. This thing happened because I reset my phone. It turned out that my time zone setting is not correct. After fixed the time zone setting, sms backup+ successfully backup-ed my sms. HTH
