The app (1.4.0) crashes consistently on restore of around 1200 SMS.
"the process ... stopped unexpectedly" is displayed instantly after the first message is about to be retrieved.
Annoying, since I'm using it as a workaround for the Android bug that removes all messages... :)
I'm not familiar with android debugging, so any pointers to how i can help are welcome.
In the meantime, is there any other app out there that can restore from a backup made using this app?
@jberkel commented on GitHub (Jan 21, 2011):
is this on android < 2.1 ? fix for this coming in next update.
@m94mni commented on GitHub (Jan 21, 2011):
Ah, sorry, this is on 2.2, on an HTC Desire HD.
@m94mni commented on GitHub (Jan 21, 2011):
2.2.1 actually...
@m94mni commented on GitHub (Jan 29, 2011):
It seems this no longer occurs with 1.4.1. Thumbs up! Will report if it reoccurs.
@galapogos commented on GitHub (Mar 10, 2011):
I'm encountering this problem on my Desire Z (Android 2.2) with SMS Backup+ 1.4.3 when attempting to restore over 3000 text messages. It sometimes manages to restore a few messages before crashing.
@jberkel commented on GitHub (Mar 11, 2011):
it might be a memory problem. i need a crash log to be able to debug this problem, e.g. using aLogcat (https://market.android.com/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat)
