Checklist
Describe the Bug
I managed to successfully run Bloodborne (CUSA03173/GOTY edition) v1.0 but after I applied the v1.09 patch, it keeps crashing on startup. shadps4 crashes entirely, not just the game.
I am using the 0.7.0 release of shadps4.
The logs show many errors: shad_log.txt
Reproduction Steps
Issue seems to appear only on v1.09 of Bloodborne
Expected Behavior
No response
Specify OS Version
Windows 11
@StevenMiller123 commented on GitHub (Apr 2, 2025):
This is a bad update dump. Please dump the game update from your PS4, then see if this still occurs.
@kiritsuku commented on GitHub (Apr 2, 2025):
Ok, let me try that.
@kiritsuku commented on GitHub (Apr 3, 2025):
Alright, with the new game dump, everything seems to work well. I am closing this then. While it would be an improvement to user experience if an error would be shown to let the user know that something is probably wrong with the game files instead of shadps4 crashing, I assume you are already aware of that and are tracking that elsewhere.
