Checklist
Description
am currently using version 0.11.
As far as I know, the VRAM memory leak issue has not been resolved yet. However, I couldn’t resist starting to play Bloodborne already.
Therefore, I would like to ask how I can update the emulator to a newer version in the future while keeping my existing data and settings, once this issue is fixed, so that I can continue playing the game more smoothly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Reason
I hope to become more invested in the game in the future after the VRAM memory leak issue is resolved.
Examples
For example, how to preserve playtime data and emulator-related settings while upgrading the emulator to a newer version.

@Rabbit0w0 commented on GitHub (Dec 11, 2025):
Replacing the shadps4 binary with a newer one works fine. But better to backup your saves before upgrading.
@DanielSvoboda commented on GitHub (Dec 12, 2025):
To continue with your playtime, simply copy the
play_time.txtfile from theAppData\Roaming\shadps4folder to theuserfolder of shadPS4QtLauncher.@georgemoralis commented on GitHub (Jan 26, 2026):
