Checklist

  • I have searched for a similar issue in this repository and did not find one.

Description

am currently using version 0.11.
As far as I know, the VRAM memory leak issue has not been resolved yet. However, I couldn’t resist starting to play Bloodborne already.

Therefore, I would like to ask how I can update the emulator to a newer version in the future while keeping my existing data and settings, once this issue is fixed, so that I can continue playing the game more smoothly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Reason

I hope to become more invested in the game in the future after the VRAM memory leak issue is resolved.

Examples

For example, how to preserve playtime data and emulator-related settings while upgrading the emulator to a newer version.

Replacing the shadps4 binary with a newer one works fine. But better to backup your saves before upgrading.

To continue with your playtime, simply copy the play_time.txt file from the AppData\Roaming\shadps4 folder to the user folder of shadPS4QtLauncher.
