Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

I was wondering whether or not I could become a contributor to the project ?
I made a PR some time ago now and its neither been accepted nor rejected. I don't mind either outcome, as I am pulling my own fork in production, but I thought I might offer to help.
Primarily my intention is to contribute documentation.
