ossfs forked s3fs version 1.79 and has maintained this for several years. I am unsure about the project's motivations as the Alibaba API seems broadly S3 compatible. It appears that the project mostly renamed functions and cherry-picked from s3fs but there are some good commits that we could borrow, e.g., #1296. References aliyun/ossfs#128.
@gaul commented on GitHub (Aug 2, 2020):
Similarly, cosfs seems to have forked from ossfs. References tencentyun/cosfs#39.
@gaul commented on GitHub (Oct 10, 2020):
It seems that these FUSE filesystems are out of date. s3fs supports both ossfs and cosfs and we encourage users to migrate to s3fs.
