I had successfully setup this on shared hosting running cloudlinux.

I use the setup for cent os as the two seems uses the same package (yum).
I ran into an issue of regular users not seeing the mounted folder even I followed the allowed user. This was due to the cagefs feature of cloudlinux. You need to add the mounted folder to cagefs so non root user can access it.
