Got this report by email:
Game: Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2
Ver:0.9.6.2 @ Android
Sometimes I wanna save game (game save, not quick save/load),
it quit automatically..but it didn't occur at Ver.0.9.5
how to fix it, help please
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Dec 14, 2013):
Most likely fast memory... save load works in the first one, though.

@dbz400 commented on GitHub (Dec 14, 2013):
Humm ... tried default setting with latest build 0.9.6-34 , seems to be fine .

@hrydgard commented on GitHub (Dec 14, 2013):
Reporter says it still crashes with fastmem off. This is on Android only, possibly.
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 18, 2014):
Does anyone have this and Android to provide a log?

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
Ok here;s the file that I got:
https://gist.github.com/Sendayu/8613840
Warning:It is very long and even cause my browser to hang for a while loading it @_@
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
Does this only happen when you load a savestate? Try disabling the auto-load savestates option. It's possible there was a bug in an older version. If you load a savestate from a buggy version of PPSSPP, then even the newer version will also have those bugs.
Does this happen without a savestate? Even if it does not work, using a savestate skips over all the useful log information, so a log without using a savestate would help either way.
By the way, once it starts showing that "bad object handle", you can quit right away. It's the log stuff above that that is interesting.

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
I was testing this on the latest buildbot emulator that is ppsspp-v0.9.6-584-ga0a9ad4-
This happen even if I am not using any quick save/load states.From what I observe,this could be remedy if the player save and then load the game later but to save in any map,player need to find save point and since the bug can happen randomly and save point is rare,it can even happen anytime making player can;t farm for exp or look treasure easily without worrying the bug can happen.
Also,the log file include another bug where the music in the game can go missing. after certain time and the only way to fix it is to reset the emulator or the game.
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
That's #4114 I think, or #4595 (in fact, these may be duplicates...)
But, a log of the game crashing without a single savestate used is what I'm after.

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
You want a log where you want me to play without loading any save state as in starting a fresh new game?
Hmm I could try but it will take a long time especially with the intro,the time needed to get into battle.
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
Can't you load an ingame save (not a savestate)? But yes, that's essentially what I'm after... sorry if it's trouble.

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2014):
Strange,I pretty sure the first log was from an in-game save not save states,guess I do it again then.For a while,here;s my log from a fresh game(No in-game save and no save/load states).The music missing problem still happen but haven;t encountered yet the "Now loading" error.:

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 26, 2014):
For some reason I was flagged as a bot but now I got my account back,my Gist can be accessed now and also here;s a new log that I got,so far the "Now loading" bug has not happen but the music missing after a while problem still happen:(Load from in-game save and in-game save 2 times,no quick save and quick load is used)
(30 min gameplay)

@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 26, 2014):
Okay, there was a bug in savestates that probably caused this problem. You can try creating new savestates, but your old ones are probably all broken - if you load them, it will probably eventually hit that error.
The music thing, I still need to do more debugging, luckily it happens on the first one (which I do have) too.

I just noticed something,I find out the map icon on the upper left side when in any area are not showing at all in Radiant Mythology 2 despite the First and Third series Radiant Mythology shows the map.Also the latest Buildbot emulator seems to to have the most Flickered screen ever compare to previous emulator I use.Lastly,even though the "Now Loading" bug seem to be gone,sometime when player try to enter a new area in the map,the music stopped and the game take a long time to load followed by the music resuming(until the music stopped playing by itself suddenly)
@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 29, 2014):
For some reason I keep on getting this error when booting the game:
This has been happening with the buildbot that I used to get the logs and with the latest v0.9.6-687-g60e44c4 .Also the screen seem to flicker more often for some reason.
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jan 29, 2014):
Try turning off multithreaded in options.

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 30, 2014):
Nice,now I can boot up the game and the screen no longer flicker too.,Though I find it weird since I have been using multithread since 0.95 and don;t have this problem until now.So I decide to trace how did the music gone missing from the logs and from what I observe the music stop when at this spot:

This probably already recorded in the previous logs that I have provided before but just in case it;s missed,this is the one that I observed so far.
This is probably offtopic:
Also I decide to test the latest buildbot emulator with 1st Radiant Mythology series and I find that lot of music note in the game seem missing compare to version 0.71 that I have where it have full note of the music of the game(despite the voiced cutscene has no voice at all).Good news is that both Emulator can make the in-game music stiil stays.Maybe something from the older version can help to remedy this in-game music problem that Radiant 2 and 3 gone missing?
@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Jan 31, 2014):
Just now I decide to try something new,when the music missing bug happen,I try to load an in-game save and as the game start loading the on-game,I notice there is some red word in the game logs with the in-game missing music still happen when the game loaded:

Maybe these red word;s are the main cause of this bug?
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Feb 3, 2014):
So, #5323 may fix the sounds in the sequels too. Just to be clear: multithreaded still causes this game to break, right?
The first game doesn't seem to have any problems. The particular error you hit is strange, it's like the startup code aborted early. But, that should result in the status changing to 0 (not running.) Strange...

@Sendayu commented on GitHub (Feb 3, 2014):
Hmm before v0.9.6-687-g60e44c4,I can use multithreaded with any game and even this one just fine though I haven;t use the latest buildbot emulator yet cause I though it might be wise to wait for the music fix update.
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Jun 17, 2014):
Has this improved in the latest version with multithreaded enabled?
Are there any save issues left?
-[Unknown]
@unknownbrackets commented on GitHub (Nov 6, 2015):
No feedback in over a year. Going to close this.
We're planning to try a different method of multithreading, perhaps, but I'm not sure there's much we can do to remove some of the side effects of the current method.
