I downloaded and installed the latest version on Windows 11. My only goal for using Path Copy is to be able to copy and paste UNC paths from File Explorer. After installation, I went into the settings and enabled both the UNC short and long path options. The two options now show on the context menu, but both are greyed out. This may not be a bug, but I don't know why they are greyed out or how to fix it.
@tonygray614 commented on GitHub (Jan 30, 2025):
Turns out the problem is not with Path Copy. The drive I Was trying to use was in some quasi-state between being a network path and a USB drive. File Explorer showed it as a UNC drive path, but it was actually showing the contents of a local USB thumb drive. Once I remove the thumb drive and remapped the drive letter to the correct UNC path, Path Copy worked as expected.
