i received an email about the still miserable (?) ipv6 support of ddclient.

in the sample config we show after adding a host, we have some section about ipv6 (for somehow patched versions of ddclient).

it needs to be checked how widespread that patched version is and if it is not widespread and the stock ddclient does not support v6, we better just say "ddclient does not support ipv6" or so instead of encouraging false hopes.

people expect that they can update v4 and v6 somehow.
