note: this is an issue of the SITE nsupdate.info, NOT of the software.

nsupdate.info site runs in a VM that has only ip v6 connectivity (except some stuff that runs over some proxies like http / https).

but: outbound dns doesn't work with ip v4, only with v6.

we currently don't tell this anywhere on the site, so users just see that their own domains with v4 nameserver ip don't work (and get switched to unavailable due to the dns connectivity error).

if the outside nameserver has also ip v6 connectivity, this can be worked around by giving its v6 ip.

todo: document this on the site

documented a valid workaround how to reach ipv4-only external nameservers, see "site notes" in the footer.
