Description:
I installed nmail via homebrew, then ran nmail -s icloud and filled in the details. After opening nmail I'm getting "login failed". What should I do?

Environment:

  • Version: 5.9.2
  • OS / distro: MacOS 26.3 Beta 1

okay i figured it out - i had to generate an app specific password

Good to hear you found a solution 👍
In commit aadcf20 I've updated the README to mention that iCloud IMAP access requires app-specific password setup.
