Hi i downloaded NBFC and was trying to find a profile for my machine (HP OMEN 15-DC0051nr) and i think somewhere along the way of testing the profiles i messed up my battery reading because in the system tray i saw a 255 error and and X on the battery.
This seems to have made my machine go into some kind of power saver mode and my cpu will not go higher than 2.2ghz base clock. When checking with my throttlestop utility which i have been usiung fine for weeks its showing im being power throttled serverely. Could one of the profiles have altered the wrong memory register?
I did a system restore to the day before i installed nbfc but it doesnt seem to resolve the issue. All my power plans and throttlestop settings provide max power etc but im stuck at ceiling of 2.2 ghz.
Please can anyone help?
thanks
