The application was reading the sensors, but we could not regulate the fan speed.

The fix:
We had to reset the EC manually, we did it like this:

Method for Notebooks with built-in battery:

Remove AC adapter.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Re-connect AC adapter.
Turn on the power of the device.

This solved the issue, after the restart of Windows we were able to control the fan speed.
Also remember, after you update Windows to a newer version do an EC reset as well.
