Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Problem is: My logs (see below) are not very informative, I guess !?
But I have the sinking feeling, that NBFC is not working properly. In particular, I cannot find the temperature value displayed by 'NBFC.exe status' in any of the monitored registers. Furthermore, I have no idea how to get the DSDT parser up and running :-(
Notebook model:
Satellite-L350D Kernel: 5.4.0-42-generic x86_64 with Desktop: MATE 1.24.0 Distro: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (Focal Fossa)

Describe the solution you'd like
How can I do some more testing, if NBFC is working properly ?

Additional context
-- Reboot --
Aug 05 21:54:24 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: Starting NoteBook FanControl service...
Aug 05 21:54:26 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: nbfc.service: Can't open PID file /run/nbfc.pid (yet?) after start: Operation not permitted
Aug 05 21:54:33 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: Started NoteBook FanControl service.
Aug 05 21:55:10 Satellite-L350D mono[771]: NbfcService: Service NoteBookFanControlService started
Aug 05 23:12:21 Satellite-L350D mono[771]: NbfcService: Stopping service NoteBookFanControlService
Aug 05 23:12:20 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: Stopping NoteBook FanControl service...
Aug 05 23:12:25 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: nbfc.service: Succeeded.
Aug 05 23:12:25 Satellite-L350D systemd[1]: Stopped NoteBook FanControl service.
-- Reboot --

Best,
Thomas
