Hi Stefan,

After running the DSDT utility and following your guide I determined that our two files are exactly the same. When I tried using the min-max temperature values that were set the actual fan speed would fluctuate between 0 and 95%. However, the read fan speed in the Notebook FanControl GUI seems to jump around from -187.5% to a maximum of 60%. I have three questions:

1- Is there an already available solution for such an issue?
2- How did you determine the (88, 48) min-max values in your setup?
3- What was the computer you used in the DSDT tutorial?

Thanks!

Hi Stefan,

I found out the registers by trial and error using your probing tool and the hp performance advisor sensor measurements. This GUI can actually read the GPU temperature as well. Unfortunately, the system has only one fan that works for both the cpu and gpu. Is there a way to create a config that combines both the gpu and cpu measurements (e.g. define another fan whose temperature measurement is from the gpu temp register)? I am thinking of having the fan speed be controlled by the highest temperature among the gpu and cpu temperature readings. Any ideas?

I will post the config once I can resolve this issue.

Thanks!
