RFC 2142 specifies few standard mailboxes for e-mail domains. It could be nice to have an option during installation of Modoboa and during setup of a mail domain to switch on
RFC 2142 compliancein a way that the expected aliases are generated for available admin users. I consider abuse, noc, security mandatory for a modoboa instance and post-, host- and webmaster mandatory for individual domains.@tonioo commented on GitHub (Jun 16, 2017):
@almereyda What do you think about a new global parameter to list all the aliases to create with a domain administrator? (only valid for the wizard)
@kryskool commented on GitHub (Apr 7, 2018):
Hi
I think an only
RFC 2142checkbox is necessary, as weel we are RFC 2142 compliant or not ;)Regards,
@JOduMonT commented on GitHub (Oct 13, 2018):
@almereyda I wonder if a catchall do the something because it made all these email valid ?
if yes it is quite easy to implement
@almereyda commented on GitHub (Oct 16, 2018):
Catchalls are easy, yes, but they also invite for spam on all the other
aliases that are not mentioned here.
