Thanks for your awesome project.
I ran into an issue with my RM502Q-GL. as your latest release you mentioned this module is supported.
I tried all your instruction with no luck.
I can see the modem name on panel.
P: Vendor=2c7c ProdID=0800 Rev= 0.00
S: Manufacturer=Quectel
S: Product=RM502QGL_VA
S: SerialNumber=a4d1f6cc

It worked for me now, the issue was because of the stock firmware is suck. I upgrade it to latest version using this forum post.

Then I installed Rooter openwrt. Now I can see the modem and can control it.
