I tend to listen to Spotify with friends on jam sessions, previously called group sessions. However, I don't believe the current implementation supports them.
I was wondering whether there is existing support for jam sessions, and if not, whether support for them is possible.
An alternative may be connecting to the jam on another device, then using my desktop client for playback, though I have been unable to verify if this works with my client -- I use ncspot.
I only recently discovered this project so I apologize if this question lacks novelty!
@kliszaj commented on GitHub (Sep 10, 2025):
I use Raspotify which is a wrapper around Librespot and Jams work fine for me
@photovoltex commented on GitHub (Sep 10, 2025):
Which version of librespot do you use?
@arawho commented on GitHub (Sep 10, 2025):
I see, so it seems librespot supports Jams but the client that I am using, ncspot, does not. I should look into other commandline clients that support more features.
