@kavishdevar commented on GitHub (Dec 8, 2024):
Hi!
Sorry, but the app does not have a way to check for the firmware version. Though, I will be looking into it.
Thank you!
@kavishdevar commented on GitHub (Nov 9, 2025):
Kinda done? AirPods send some weird number, I am not sure how to map it to the version number that iDevice displays. I would actually need to collect this data to compare what is sent and what is displayed; or look do a static analysis on the bluetooth stack of iOS/macOS, which I don't quite have the time for...
@PsycloneTM commented on GitHub (Nov 18, 2025):
Is there a way for the app to update your airpods firmware as well?
@tim-gromeyer commented on GitHub (Nov 18, 2025):
nope not yet, and probably never will
@kavishdevar commented on GitHub (Nov 20, 2025):
Not yet. Even though it is possible, I cannot risk bricking other's AirPods in doing so.
