LibrePods consistently crashes on my vivo X200 when it reaches the “Root access required” page. The app closes immediately instead of showing an error or permission prompt.
This happens every time I open the app, making it unusable.

Same here. On my Oxygen OS 16, not rooted. Didnt happen on v0.1.0-rc.4

Same here with a S24. Just installed the apk on my phone. Granted all the permissions. The app closes by itself when i try to open it. Totally unusable

Same issue on oppo find x9
@SkySpnc commented on GitHub (Dec 27, 2025):
also happening on find x9 pro

Got it working by using the build artifacts https://github.com/kavishdevar/librepods/actions/runs/20314434870
But connection is not stable and crashes or doesn't apply the noise cancelling mode, don't know how to generate debug since I don't have root (colour os) but it tells me L2cap error: couldn't connect to socket : timeout. I'm using air pods pro 3

@FranzFerdiand i mighty be blind but cannot for the life of me find the artifact to download and test. 😄

it seems like there is a bug in the Bluetooth android stack and they're still fixing that issue. There is no response in the android issue tracker side too. so you need to root the device with Xposed (mentioned in the readme file)
@SkySpnc commented on GitHub (Jan 17, 2026):
this isnt related to this issue
@on-the-job commented on GitHub (Jan 24, 2026):
I just tried and you're right, it works but incredibly unreliably and some of the features don't work even when it is active. I really wanted multipoint but it doesn't seem to be functioning on this version. I dropped down a release. Hopefully it gets corrected soon.
