The last release on this page is almost two years ago, however it seems that this project is still maintained and new commits come in regularly.

When will the next release happen? What will be the new stuff in the next release?
Or can we build the current master or selves? Is it stable?

A new release is being planned (there are a couple of annoying bugs I want to eliminate prior to that), but you can build the master branch, which uses submodules and requires PHP > 7.1.
