Hey koel-team,
thanks for your great work. The integration of sonos speakeas would be a tremendous enhancement in my opinion. As koel is based on laravel and therefore on php, interacting with https://github.com/duncan3dc/sonos shouldn't be too hard. Another possible solution might be using custom service API the http://musicpartners.sonos.com/docs?q=node/134
At the moment I don't have that much time to work on it but wanted to post this idea here anyways.
As soon as I've whipped sth up, I'll share the progress with you.
Keep up the good work!

I honestly don't see Koel supporting a specific commercial vendor like this. You're welcome to fork and customize it however you like, though.

It's not about only supporting sonos but multiple speaker systems. But you have to start with one.
Furthermore, I don't get what this has to do with the fact that this is a commercial vendor. Making a platforms like koel pluggable and ready to connect to other systems takes it one step further and makes it more interesting. Open Source and self-built things is awesome. Especially in software development it's easy to implement but when it comes to hardware it's a bit difficult to built something awesome which is also stylish. Don't you think? At least for me it makes more sense to buy a great and polished product and built around it with your own software to enhance and customize it. I guess we have different point of views there.
