Describe the feature you'd like

I checked #513 and this is a bit different.

When I share from an app to Karakeep, I see this screen (below) for a few seconds (10-15+ seconds). In this time, I don't know if my instance of karakeep is doing something or it hung. Usually, because I am in the middle of something while I am trying to hoard a link, I generally back out and try again to speed up the process. In which case, sometimes I see "Hoarded!" and sometimes, I see the hoarding screen again.

I don't have the same problem as #513. With very rare exceptions, my links always get saved.

But my problem is not knowing if the app+server is doing something or not.

Some sub-text (scanning, collecting, tagging, etc. - or whatever is appropriate) would be nice to see as it tells the user something is happening.

Describe the benefits this would bring to existing Karakeep users

As mentioned above, it informs the user the app and the server are working fine, or at least tell them something's happening.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

I don't think so.

Have you searched for an existing open/closed issue?

  • I have searched for existing issues and none cover my fundamental request
